Dr. Rita Yarde did not initially dream of being a Chiropractor growing up in Alexis, IL. In fact, she studied Spanish and Business at theUniversity of Iowa. It wasn’t until after she saw a chiropractor that helped her own aches & pains after a trip oversees that Dr. Yarde thought of the possibility of studying in the field of Chiropractic studies. She soon enrolled in Parker College of Chiropractic in Dallas Texas where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Anatomy, a Bachelor of Science in Health & Wellness & her Doctor of Chiropractic Degree.
Dr. Yarde uses a holistic approach to healing, saying, “The power that made the body heals the body.” Her treatment plans require homework so that each patient realizes his or her own inherent ability to heal, empowering them and giving them hope for a better life.
Dr. Yarde opened The Path Center for Healing in December of 2011. She, her father, and her fiancé remodeled the former Sav-a-Buk building at 251 E. Main Street in Galesburg. Since then, The Path has seen a steady stream of clients.
In May Dr. Yarde received the 2012 Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award from the Entrepreneurial Support Network of West Central Illinois.
